Every body is different.

 I like to tailor my approach based on the individual and what he or she wants to accomplish. My philosophy is to work deep enough to be effective, maybe a little uncomfortable, but not painful.  People sometimes believe that deep tissue massage has to "hurt."  That is not the case.  Your body tightens up in response to too much stimulus (aka pain).

And everyone gets a little bit of energy work whether they know it or  not.
